Exhibiton Opening: ‘Passing Tides: An Exhibition of New Works’ 2nd December 2010 – 10th January 2011
Contemporary landscape paintings inspired by the New South Wales coast and Australian bush lands.
Candyss Crosby was born in California and has been painting professionally for the last 16 year. Candyss has traveled extensively throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and USA and is now based on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Candyss has recently opened a new gallery in Balgowlah, 'Candyss Crosby Gallery, and will hold an Exhibition of new work from the 2nd of December. Her paintings are typically large, rich, textural oils reflecting the various landscapes of Australia. The paintings rarely represent specific locations, but seek to convey the mood and spirit of places, and to evoke emotion and contemplation rather than reflect specific landmarks or realities.
Candyss is building a strong reputation overseas and in Australia where her works are found in private and corporate collections.
